The Super Bargain shop inside Vincentia Marketplace is really big a stocked with lots of products for every use and occasion. They had a huge range of greeting cards and party supplies; I especially loved the large display of colourful ribbons. Called the store today to find out if they had Monopoly in store and what time they closed and was told they do have it in stock and the store closes at 5:30pm. Arrived at the store at 3:56pm only to find the store closed up but people still inside. Called the store again and asked what time they closed and was told 4pm so asked if we could quickly come into get the monopoly game given it was not yet 4pm. Was told NO as the tills had already been counted. I get that it is Boxing Day but this is super bad customer service. To close BEFORE the stated time and then not allow us to purchase a product because you have already counted the till early. Disgusting service! Will not shop there again
Unfortunately I wont be visiting Super Bargain again. I purchased some Christmas lights which turned out to be faulty. As per the sign on their checkout counter states faulty items can be returned for a refund. I attempted to return the lights during the daytime therefore it would be difficult to see the lights flashing. I was told that they arent faulty and to take a new set home love. The lady at the counter would not take my word for it so I suggested she visit my house when its dark to see the fault. Was I meant to take her word for it when she stated theyve have never had an issue with these lights for the past 2 years? I requested to speak to a supervisor to which I was told we do not give out personal details. So therefore it would be impossible to put through a complaint? Didnt make sense. I then contacted the supplier who stated the fault I was having is common with these lights and the store should simply provide a refund and they the supplier will replace a set of lights for the store so they are not short changed. (As it states within the warranty slip included in the packaging). Although the lady behind the counter said thats impossible. Their customer service was terrible, and its unfortunate to have to post this review, I would have expected more from a small town local store. They were more happy to lose a customer than refund a pair of faulty lights.
